ABSTRACT

To construct an evaluation indicator system on food safety management capacity for food production enterprises by Delphi method, and to provide a scientific theoretical framework for food safety management capacity for food enterprises.
 Methods: A framework for the evaluation system on food safety management capabilities was established and experts in relevant fields were invited to conduct 2 rounds of expert consultation. Indicators were selected and determined based on expert opinions and statistical analysis results. The hierarchical model was constructed by the analytic hierarchy process to determine the weight coefficients of each indicator.
 Results: The positive coefficients of the two rounds of expert consultation were 84% and 100%, and the coefficient of experts' authority was 0.826. The coordination coefficients of the indicators in the first round of consultation were 0.439, 0.323 and 0.324, and they were 0.607, 0.351, and 0.368 in the second round, respectively, with statistically significant differences (P<0.001). The evaluation index system of food safety management capacity for food production enterprises was established after the two rounds of expert consultation, and the system consisted of 5 indicators for the first level, 18 indicators for the second level and 32 indicators for the third level, with corresponding weights. 
 Conclusion: The enthusiasm, authority and concordance of experts during this consultation are good, and the selected indicators are reasonable and comprehensive, which can provide a basis for the evaluation of food safety management capabilities for food enterprises.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of soybean isoflavone on histology and uhrastructure of benign prostatic hyperplasia in rats.Methods Male SD rats were injected subcutaneously testosterone propionate for 28 d to induce prostatic hyperplasia,and the rats were divided into 5 groups:control group,model group,and 3 test groups with SI in a dose of 60 mg/(kg·d),120 mg/(kg·d) and 240 mg/(kg·d),respectively.The wet prostate weight,prostatic index,morphological,uhrastmetural and morphometrie changes of the prostatic shndular and interstitial tissues were observed.Results The prostate wet weight,prostatic index and prostatic volumes in all dose groups were significantly lower than those in the models.In comparison with the model group,height of prostatic epithelial cells,glandular average diameters,volumes and surface areas in unit volume,as well as glandular circumferences,glandular relative total volumes and interstitial relative total volumes were all significantly decreased.Glandular counts,density,ratio of glandular surface area to volume,and glandular average curvature were all increased.Conclusions Soybean isoflavone can inhibit prostatic hyperplasia in rats.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To study the mechanism of restenosis after angioplasty and to clarify the effect of thrombin and its receptor on restenosis development.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Balloon catheter-induced injury was adopted to induce intimal hyperplasia of the carotid arteries in rats. Antisense thrombin receptor (ATR) cDNA was transfected by perfusing recombinant LXSN ATR plasmid/nanoparticle complex into the segment of the injured carotid artery.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>PCR result showed integration of the recombined gene. Dot blot showed the expression of antisense TR mediated by recombinant LXSN ATR plasmid/nanoparticle complex in the wall of common carotid arteries of the experimental group rats, which enabled to inhibit TR gene expression and intimal hyperplasia of the injured arteries.</p><p><b>CONCLUSIONS</b>Thrombin and its receptor play an important role in the formation of neointima after the injury, which provides a potential clue in developing a new approach for prevention and treatment of restenosis after angioplasty.</p>

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of equol on ERK mediated signal transduction pathway and to clarify its mechanism of proliferation inhibition on human ovarian carcinoma cell line SKOV-3. Method SKOV-3 cells were treated with 10-8,10-7,10-6,10-5,5?10-5,10-4 mol/L equol for 24,48 and 72h. After pretreatment with 10 ?mol/L U0126 an ERK signaling pathway inhibitor or ICI182,780,estrogen receptor inhibitors for 1h,then treatment with 50 ?mol/L equol for 2h,the cell viability was examined and the expressions of ERK and p-ERK protein were determined using Western blotting. Results Equol was demonstrated to inhibit SKOV-3,proliferation time-and dose-dependently. The expression of p-ERK protein was decreased in dose-dependent manner,while the expression of total ERK was unchanged. Both the single use of U0126,or ICI182,780,and combined with equol could decrease the expression of p-ERK protein. Conclusion Equol could inhibit proliferation in ovarian carcinoma cell lines SKOV-3. Its inhibitory effect appears to be due to down-regulation of p-ERK protein.
